"You
have filled my heart with greater joy than when their grain and new wine
abound. I will lie down and sleep in peace, for you alone, O LORD, make me
dwell in safety." (Psalm 4:7-8 NIV)
The four-year son came up to the breakfast
table. Instead of the usual 'good
morning', he met us with "What
really fun thing will happen today?" It was really a good question,
and a wonderful attitude to life. When we belong to Jesus' family, we have the
right to begin each day with an expectation that something good will happen.
It’s clear that
there are dark days in a Christian's life. But faith in God allows us to face
difficulties in a positive way with Him. When we were new Christians we sometimes sang especially when we faced
adversity:
Something wonderful must come from this,
It must result in something wonderful.
Because the Lord God can only do wonderful
things,
So something wonderful must come from this.
Prayer
Help me to accept this day from You and
expect it to be a good day. Thank You that everything you do, You do in
faithful love for me.
