soon as Solomon had finished building the house of the LORD and the king’s
house and all that Solomon desired to build, the LORD appeared to Solomon a

When God created the human body he shaped each part to fulfill a certain function as well as possible. The foot was formed into perfection for walking, the hand for grasping, the ear for capturing sound waves and the eye for seeing.
Likewise
God has molded each one of us for a specific function. We were in his mind and
planning long before we were born, and God created us so that we should fit
into that plan for our lives. Therefore it is so wonderful to read the Bible
passage of today. It tells us that all the awesome things that God called
Solomon to do were things that he had “desired”.
When God calls a person into a certain
mission, he is doing this in accordance with the individual’s desire and longing,
not with force and coercion. He knows very well how he created us and he would
never force us into something for which we are not designed.
Prayer
Thank you Lord for the wonderful plan you have for my life, and thank you that you plan fits perfectly well with the desire and the longing that you long ago planted in my heart.
