” And a highway will be there; it will be called the Way of Holiness. The unclean will not journey on it; it will be for those who walk in that Way; wicked fools will not go about on it.”
( Isaiah 35:8 NIV )

Devotion:
During the days of the Cold War Berlin was a part of West Germany even though the city geographically lay well within the communist East Germany. For communication to function between Berlin and the wider world a transit road ran directly through East Germany to Berlin. It was fenced in and to travel on it required a special visa. The majority of East Germans, residing in Berlin never had the opportunity to travel on that road. It existed for those who lived in western Europe or Berlin. I can guess the thoughts of the people who lived in East Germany, those who lived directly next to the road. I can imagine that they longed to travel freely on the same road away from the occupied territory Our world is under the occupation of evil. However, there is a transit road to our Heavenly destination, a holy way. It is open to all who have collected their visa; forgiveness and cleansing through Jesus Christ.

Prayer:
Lord, thank You for allowing me to follow the holy way. Keep me clean in order that I can continue to walk on it. Thank You; You come to lead me on the right path.
