March 7

"… whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God" (1 Cor. 10:31)

”HABIT; A recurrent, often unconscious pattern of behavior that is acquired through frequent repetition… An established disposition of the mind or character.” That’s the definition of habit if one were to look it up in Webster’s.
I heard someone say that he had developed the habit of living with the question; “how can I handle this matter in such a way that God is honored and glorified?” It was a worthwhile habit. When this person encounters difficulties and challenges, he poses the question automatically. It has become ”an established disposition of the mind” if one were to believe Webster’s definition. He has made it a habit.
Habits in themselves are neither negative nor positive, however, poor habits appear to attach easier in our lives, and we ought to regularly examine our habits and take control of which habits we allow into our daily living. From today’s Bible verse it’s understood that God wants us to nurture habits that give God glory.

Prayer

Lord, help me today to examine which habits I have allowed into my life. Help me nurture habits that honor You and Your Kingdom
