December 5

"Behave yourselves well among the Gentiles, so that those who say you are evil people see your good works and glorify God on the day he will." (1 Peter 2:12)

"I get a premonition of God’s presence when I meet you." So said the official at the state institution with whom we were coworkers for a time. It was the best compliment we could have received. We had mostly talked about educational issues and we had not talked much at all about our faith. However, without understanding how or why, he had understood that we, as Christians, were in close contact with the living God.
While his words were encouraging, they were also a reminder of the importance of Christians living with a seamless life, where our Christian faith must permeate everything we do, whatever the context we are moving in and who we meet.

Prayer
Lord help me today to live so close to You so that those who have not met You can experience a glimpse of Your glory and the desire to get to know You better.
